The Federal Bureau of Investigation estimates that in any given year 500,000 vehicles are stolen, in 2013 this number climbed to 699,594 vehicles. If you own a Honda Accord watch out as your vehicle is the most targeted. Honda Accord takes the top crown for the most stolen vehicle in 2015 as it was stolen 52,244 times. Thieves were particular too - and targeted the 1996 model year the most according to the National Crime Information Center.
Thieves are also partial to Honda’s other best-selling model, the Civic - both models took 1st and 2nd place. Pickup trucks rounded out the top four with Ford, Chevrolet and the Ram pickup.
